Shivagrico Implements Ltd., a publicly listed company on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), is a highly respected organization that has been involved in the production of farming implements, hand tools, digging tools, rolling profiles since its establishment in 1965 under the name Shiv Steel Works. The main strength of Shivagrico is the presence of an entirely integrated manufacturing process for the company. The existence of rolling mills in the company helps the firm manufacture products in all of its eight forging plants. The Rolling Division operates two independent mills of 355 mm and 250 mm, with a combined capacity of 36,000 metric tonnes per annum. It manufactures a diverse range of products including angles, flats, rounds, square and rectangular bars, as well as specialised polygonal sections such as octagonal and hexagonal bars. These are widely used for captive consumption and across industries like automotive. An in-house WET laboratory further ensures stringent quality control through precise chemical composition testing.
The Forging Division is equally robust, with multiple dedicated lines for picks, mattocks, hoes, and crowbars, along with advanced drop forging facilities of 1-tonne and 2-tonne capacities. With an annual production capacity of 2.6 million units, the division produces a wide array of tools including sledgehammers and allied products using advanced forging techniques.
